Art and Economics It a well known fact that when a business city or society that wants to generate money, wealth and commerce they invite artists, if you look at any successful metropolitan in the world you’ll see that it has a large section of art, and that section become the rich, money generator section for that city. It does not matter what the field of art is film, painting or fashion. You can also see that those societies that suppress art become poor and powerless. Take for example Russia that suppressed art to the extreme and allowed only state controlled art. Look where they are now. And take a look at New York, London and Paris. You can indicate the condition of society or a nation by their appreciation to free art and artists. You can also reverse any poor society by introducing art.
